sinektik’s founder, David Dickson, is a leader in applied technology & digital initiatives, the goal of which is enabling integrated resource operations both improved performance and operating know-how.

23 Years Experience

David’s executed roles across various industry verticals in his 23 years’ experience, most notably in Oil & Gas.
His functional, delivery, design, strategy and leadership roles span engineering, IT, enterprise architecture, project management, operational performance and optimisation, industry consulting, strategic account management, marketing, business development and leadership, and company directorship.
Throughout his professional career David has worked for global technology companies, O&G operations, small & large EPCs, industry consultancies, collaborated with academia and managed his own consulting business.
Now as Principal of sinektik, David garners this experience from key leadership positions such as most recently in his role as Honeywell’s Global Market Leader for O&G. Honeywell is a global industrial technology company in Fortune’s 500, ranked 77 in 2014.
David was central to elevating Honeywell’s profile from executing business in predominantly downstream processing, into the upstream O&G arena. The legacy of these efforts continue to drive profitable growth.

David has worked or collaborated with over fifty clients or partners; Supermajor Integrated Oil Companies, National Oil Companies, regionals and mega capital projects such as Australian JV CSG assets, and some of the largest miners. For example, sinektik has demonstrated innovation in support of the Digital Oil & Gas field, plant and supply chain, extending across assets for producing, processing, transmitting, storing and exporting hydrocarbons.
